[R-1051] URQ-10 Frequency Standard

Geoff,
Did you ever find any info on this? I have one of these as well, and it
works very well, never had a problem with it. It's built like a brick house,
I dropped it about 3 feet once and it didn't even phase it. These were used
as freq standards for R1051's, we had one on the ship I was on and that's
what it was used for. One of my uses for it is just that as well, I use it
on my R1051 as well as going through a distribution unit for test equipment
etc. I use a General Microwave Model 550 WWV Receiver comparator to
reference the freq accuracy of it to NIST standard so I know I have an
accurate standard to work with. I was able to obtain a manual, believe I got
it off that eplace some time back. I could scan and send if you still need
it.

John

Subject: [R-1051] URQ-10 Frequency Standard

I picked up a URQ-10 frequency standard at a hamfest last weekend. Like
most hamfest items, it seems to be in need of repair as the outputs (meter
positions 1-3) were intermittent at first and now nonexistent.

I'm wondering if anybody is aware of a source of manuals for these, or
actually any documentation.

Additionally, I'm curious about comments from others who might be using
these, such as whether there are any common component faults and that sort
of thing.

I believe these were often used as the master oscillator to feed R-1051's in
shipboard installations.
