[R-1051] Severe knob detent

    Every r-1051x person knows that the knob detent is pretty severe. I have 
lessend the detent pressure on the 2nd and 3rd knob (right to left) simply 
by loosing the leaf spring mounting on the underside of the chassis. The 
first knob mechanical train is different in that there is no easy to access 
to a spring detent. Has anyone succeeded in lessening the detent on the 
first (1 kc) knob? How is it done? Thanks
