Greetings,
Got my R-1051B mounted in a rack (ouch) and checked out the R-1051
"Plain".... I hope I used the correct term as I don't want to start up
something like the R-390 "Non A" war over here. The power interlocks are a
bit touchy but operational on the "B" but on the "plain" the nylon(?) wedge
was cracked. When I manually activate it the radio works fine, or should I
say worked fine once I figured out that this version has two interlocks,
one of them switchable!!! As if this thing isn't complex enough. Other
than safety and the "No User Serviceable Parts Inside" concerns. Is there
any reason I shouldn't bypass these microswitches?
