Great news....Where did you find it?

I have been doing an LED mod that replaces the original lamps. It is
reversible and requires you drill 4 holes in the Lucite bar that distributes
the light across the front panel. 4 Super brite white LED's are glued into
those holes and wired in series. One wire is dressed through the harness
back to the location on the power supply board and attaches where the
existing dial lamps are powered from...I usually disconnect the existing
wire but leave it in the harness. There are two series resistors that drop
the supply voltage for the original bulbs...those are replaced with one new
resistor of appropriate resistance (can't remember at the moment) and the
other wire tied to a ground point near the front of the radio and you are
good to go.

It works pretty well...varies with the brand of LED I've noticed and the
light is more white than the originals but it makes the dials very readable
without jumping out at you...

You have to be very careful where you drill the holes...and they need to be
evenly spaced across the bar for good distribution.

The cost to have the mod done if your radio is in the shop for other work
has been around $75....the LED's are fairly expensive at $6 or $7
apiece...and the work takes a couple hours spread across a couple days to do
(the glue must dry...super glue fogs too badly)...But the results are worth
it.

Last price I saw on the replacement factory bulbs they were quite
pricey....and they will burn out again!
