I didn't answer all your question I discovered after going back...sorry
about that.
There were minor differences between B through H models...in their
design...I think the basic Performance Metrics didn't change....they all
tuned the same frequency range...all had the same basic stability specs. and
all had the same sensitivity specs.
The D and newer models had the ability to select different AGC timing
settings from the front panel....also some of the metering functions were
changed...they added a multifunction meter with a switch to select the
functions. There were a few other changes in the G and\or H model but they
were minor as I understand it. On the inside, the synthesizer or Six-pack
as it is called was updated to use more commonly available technology. The
Audio\IF modules in the D through H models are a little different to allow
the AGC timing settings to be made but seem to work in the earlier models
but not vise versa. Plain through C Audio\IF modules will not function
fully in the later models...because they lack the ability to change AGC
timing.
