Hi Tim,

        I do fix them but I think the response from the list is an excellent
one.....especially the local Amateur radio community being a resource.
Usually there are folks that are happy to help out.  Sounds like the back
cover was knocked off the pot.  It's not hard to change...a couple modules
will have to be removed and an aluminum panel moved back to allow access and
the parts changed!  If that is all that is wrong it's an easy fix.  If not
it might make sense to ship it to someone that know the radio for repair.  I
would be happy to do repairs if they should be necessary.  I am on the Gulf
Coast of Mississippi.
