For the information I have found some pins not making contact and thought
that I had it fixed but that didn't do it .
The problem with that pin was it was not making contact to the 12KC sync
signal that feed the VFO I fixed that and found also the sub power supply
board which is not a
Module had bad capacitors on it I replaced that but that didn't do it
either.
So it looks like I still have a way to go.
I beginning to think that the receiver never did work and it was left for
rework this receiver looks brand new inside and out.
Looks like it never say any action.
The receiver is really mint .

Matt , I  have very limited experience with  the R-1051b .One learning
experience I benifitted from was checking the module sockets both on the
modules and "mainframe".Ocasionally the pin conacts may drop away to the
point that although at first glance they appear OK,it seems they may not
