This is a great story... It proves that DXCC is only as pure as you make it
sometimes.

Subject: [QSL-Managers] You will like this log correction
I am the P5 QSL manager and I had a request one day by a stateside ham to
have
his callsign removed from the log. Several had asked this when Ed was trying
to
figure out if he should accept multiple QSO's when he works CW and people
started emailing me saying, take my RTTY QSO out of the log so I can work
him
CW, etc. Anyhow, he never did do CW so it didn't matter.
Now, listen to this....
A guy on the east coast, a colonel retired from the cia, had tried to work
Ed
and on one day, kept getting stepped on by others, even when Ed tried his
best
to work the guy. A french ham, hearing this, on the next day that Ed
operated
had a 59 copy on Ed so when Ed called for 2's, this french ham gave out the
guy
that had his QSO stolen and completed the 2-way QSO. He then sent the guy an
email and said that he heard what had happened to him and felt that he
deserved
the QSO and that he was now in the log, giving him the QSO info.
The colonel emailed me the story and said it was great that this guy did
that
for him but he really wanted to make the QSO himself and asked if I would
remove him from the log. I did and he did make a QSO later.
There are still a few honest hams out there.
