Art, I buy boxes from U-Line for smaller shipments ....usually sized 4 by 6
by whatever depth makes sense.
Generally, a good rule is that up to 4 pounds, send surface mail. above 4
pounds, use their M-Bag rate.
If you want, and depending what quantity you have, I can help you send
these. I have been helping a few other QSL managers and contesters that
send MAJOR quantity by bulking together. If you look at the M bag rate, at
some point, you can get down to under 2/pound. I think the average cost
that we've realized is on the order of 3.50 to 4/pound....and the more that
get involved,t he lower the overall cost will be. Just mailed, for example,
almost 50 pounds to JA.
