Thursday the 26 of January is Australia day and Australian amateurs will be
using the AX prefix for 24 hrs from 13.01 UTC Wednesday the 25 till 12.59
UTC 26 January. The west coast will start and finish 3 hrs later than the
east coast as it runs from midnight to midnight in each state of Australia.
Some vk9's will start up to 3 hours earlier and others will finish up to 3
hours after Western Australia does.
Its a bit of a dogs breakfast but just keep listening and you will hear them
come up.

The AX prefix is usable by all VK amateurs during this period.

So keep an ear out for me as I personally will be working 40 meters ssb.
from 7.040 to 7090.

Many other operators on other bands will be working, so listen for your
chance to get a special AX prefix card.

Please remember that there are QRP operators who want to chance to get a
card as well, so make sure you give them a go.

De John
