[QRP] Portable QRP project for blind ham living in an apartment.

Hello-
This may be slightly off topic but the mention of a blind ham brings up
my desire :
I have a Motorola Micom-S, 2-18 Mhz. SSB transceiver and an antenna
tuner that goes along with it. This is an all solid state, nice cond. 40
channel programmable radio and it has the programming board installed.I do
not have a microphone. It receives well, but TX untested. This would be a
great SSB rig for a blind ham, and I would be willing to donate it to a
blind ham, however the set needs the attention of someone knowledgable about
the set in order to hook up mic. and check out TX and tuner.
What say??
Thanks, Byron WA5THJ.

total of 890 dollars. The keying on the IC703 is no where near the quality
of the ELecraft rigs. I own both the IC703 and all Elecraft rigs and I chase
to bring the Elecraft rigs to Iraq. If you don't mind hearing the relays
clicking back and forth with your keying then go with the IC703. I would
suggest adding the narrow CW filter to help the DSP. Just the humble opinion
of a ham....Good luck in your quest and hope to catch you on the air
sometimes.
