QCWA Bulletin 2021-008 - ARRL Field Services Manager - Mike Walters W8ZY

The QCWA Board of Directors are pleased to announce that Mike Walters, 
W8ZY is the new ARRL Field Services Manager.

Mike is new QCWA Member # 38521 and a member of QCWA Chapter 149. He was 
first licensed in 1977 and resides in New Milford, CT.

He has been involved with field volunteers for many years and served as 
the Section Emergency Coordinator (SEC) for Connecticut since 2016. Mike 
has since resigned from the SEC appointment to take on his new Field 
Services Manager position.

In 2002 he attended WRTC 2002 in Finland and was one of the VE's to give 
the exams in Helsinki. He has been a VE for over 20 years.

Mike enjoys mobile VHF/UHF, DMR and local repeaters, and has been 
working to get more involved in digital modes with RMS and expanding 
into HF digital.
