QCWA Bulletin  - 2019-019 - Melissa Pore, KM4CZN named Recipient of 
2020 Carole Perry Educator of the Year Award

HamCation is excited to announce Melissa Pore, KM4CZN as the 2020 
recipient of the Carole Perry Educator of the Year Award. This award 
is bestowed upon an individual who has made an outstanding 
contribution educating and advancing youth in Amateur Radio. It was 
first awarded in 2018 to its namesake, Carole Perry, WB2MGP in honor 
of her work as an educator teaching students about ham radio.

Melissa has been an educational professional for over 20 years and 
currently teaches at Bishop Denis J. O'Connell High School in Arlington, VA.

The Quarter Century Wireless Association (QCWA) Board of Directors 
congratulates Melissa Pore in being the recipient of the Carole Perry 
Educator of the Year Award. QCWA Director Carole Perry, WB2MGP is 
honored to have another educational professional receive this award.

Year Award for 2021.

Orlando HamCation has been sponsored by the Orlando Amateur Radio 
Club since 1946 which is held annually on the second weekend of 
February. HamCation has grown to become the second largest hamfest in 
the world. Attendance has grown an average of 1500 people for the 
past 7 years, with last year's event having 23,700 attendees. 
HamCation 2020 is February 7-9, 2020.
