QCWA Bulletin 2016-008 - Larry Price, W4RA - Honorary Member Of The 
Canadian Amateur Radio Hall Of Fame

The QCWA Board of Directors wish to congratulate QCWA Life Member, 
Larry Price, W4RA on his recent induction as Honorary Member of the 
Canadian Amateur Radio Hall of Fame. Price is President Emeritus of 
the ARRL and of the International Amateur Radio Union (IARU), and was 
first licensed in 1951.

The Radio Amateurs of Canada (RAC) inducted Larry Price, W4RA, of 
Statesboro, Georgia on Saturday, May 21 at 2016 Dayton Hamvention. 
The induction ceremony was held at the International Amateur Radio 
Union booth. Many of Larry's amateur radio colleagues attended the 
presentation.

The appointment is in recognition of Larry's many years of support of 
Radio Amateurs of Canada and Amateur Radio in Canada. Honorary 
appointments can only be initiated by the Directors of RAC. This is 
the first Honorary appointment in the history of RAC. Larry is also a 
former President of both the ARRL and the IARU.
