QCWA Bulletin 2015-018 - QCWA Seeks Replacement Scholarship Chairperson

The Quarter Century Wireless Association, Inc. (QCWA) Scholarship 
Committee Chair, Tim Donovan, W4CLK, has announced his desire to 
retire his volunteer appointment after serving for three years.

Donovan replaced QCWA Scholarship Chair Leland (Buddy) Smith, Jr., 
W4YE, on November 7, 2012. Smith served for 8 years prior. During 
Donovan's three year term, QCWA awarded 68 individual scholarships 
totalling $114,500.

QCWA is seeking a qualified person to chair the QCWA Scholarship 
Standing Committee. The candidate applying is required to be a QCWA 
member in good standing and will be experienced in using 
spreadsheets. The successful candidate will maintain a list of all 
scholarship donations, send 'thank you letters' to donors 
contributing to the scholarship fund and provide a list of donors for 
the QCWA Journal. This is done electronically.

The scholarship committee does its work through the use of e-mail. 
Final recommendations to the Board of Directors are carried out via a 
teleconference or video conference meeting.
