Hi Norm,
There has been a nickname field on the Members Only webpage since day one!
I’m trying to provide a service to our members, based on the 66 active members whose licenses have expired or will expire through this November of this year I would say it’s needed.
If you don’t like what the FCC has listed for you, change it!
By the way, QCWA doesn’t have a Ray Sheridan listed in the database, we have a Luke but not a Ray. Who is he?

I suggest you create a nickname or preferred name field. Publish only the preferred. Move existing first name to preferred for all. Change if requested.
I know Ray, but don't know Sheridan.
If I want to know what the FCC has, I'll look elsewhere.
Just a suggestion.

Good Afternoon Everyone!
For the past few weeks I have been working on downloading the FCC database and incorporating that data into our admin database. I have created an FCC table that includes, call sign, name, class of license and last call. This will be updated every Sunday when a new full dataset is available.
To match this data against our database I have had to change several member names to match what they submitted to the FCC.
At this point we have three active members with US addresses that we don’t have an expiration date for:
22067 4S7EA Ernest Amarasinghe Winnetka CA
30896 VE3CFK Chester Latawiec Pt Huron MI
36311 LZ1CY Angel Gugov Skokie IL
I have gone through and found several new vanity call signs and SK.
Beyond this I have sent emails to 33 members whose license has expired or will expire through November of this year.
I also have 32 letters to mail for those members that we don’t have email ids for.
On October 1st I will have the process automated to send announcements for those that expire in December.
US members also have their “Lic Expires” date listed on the Members Only webpage. The background on this date will be green for the year the license expires, yellow for the month of expiration and red after the license actually expires.
For the Canadian members, IC issues a license for life, well only 125 years!
I don’t know what other countries do, please let me know what is available from your country that may be implemented.
