Good Morning,

Well Dayton has come around again and this year, I’ve been busy with other things.  The first announcements should have been on the home page 6 weeks ago, My apologies.  This will not happen again!

I’ve made some behind the scenes changes that most members will not notice.  Our old home page was: http://www.qcwa.org  When a browser gets to a directory on a web server(computer) and a file isn’t included, it looks for index.htm or index.html.

We use index.htm, it contained all the html code required to display our webpage.  Now index.htm forwards to http://www.qcwa.org/qcwa.php where I can display things based on the month of the year.  The Hamfest ADA announcement will display every year from Feb through April.

The rest of the Dayton announcements will display from when ever I get the 2015 information to May 18th.  Next year they will display from March 1st until a day after Dayton.  The day after Dayton will need a manual change but I, or whom ever comes after me, will have 9 months to make that change after this years Hamfest ends.

The only thing the members will see is the qcwa.php added to the end of our url when they arrive at the site.  And a more interactive home page.
