QCWA Bulletin 2014-010 - John Huntoon, W1RW - Silent Key

It is with sadness we report the passing of John Huntoon, W1RW 
(ex-W1LVQ), of East Hartford, Connecticut, on February 23, 2014. John was 97.

Huntoon served as ARRL Secretary and General Manager from 1961 until 
1975. A Full Charter Life Member of ARRL, he also was the Secretary 
of the International Amateur Radio Union and Editor of QST.

Huntoon was a Life Member of QCWA and served on the QCWA Board of 
Directors from 1992 to 1996.
