        *Charles Stinger of Hamilton, Ohio, W8GFA (89), SK 15 Feb. 2014

        *After graduating from high school Chuck attended many radio
        schools where he received his telephone and telegraph license.
        He is a veteran of the Army Air Corp. Chuck was blessed with a
        great working career starting on August 17, 1947 at WLW and then
        Voice of America . He retired as a plant supervisor of VOA in
        1985. He was one of the original members of the Antique Wireless
        Association. Chuck had written articles and spoke many times
        about the pioneering work in broadcasting by WLW. Among his many
        other hobbies was beekeeping and antique clocks. The Stingers
        were very proud of their Hamilton home being the first house to
        be placed on the National Registry. Chuck is survived by two
        sons and four grandchildren.
