QCWA Bulletin 2014-004 - QCWA Secretary Vic Culver, W4VIC Resigns

QCWA Secretary Vic Culver, W4VIC, regretting submitted his 
resignation effective pending the QCWA Board of Directors filling the 
position with another candidate. Mr. Culver cited minor health issues 
that need his immediate attention. In this regard he felt best to 
resign in order to allow the QCWA Board to move forward in filling 
the vacancy with someone who will be able to commit more time.

Mr. Culver will continue in the capacity of QCWA Certificate Custodian.

Pursuant to the QCWA Bylaws, the Board of Directors filled the 
vacancy with candidate John Kludt, K4SQC. Mr. Kludt was first 
licensed as KN7SYS while in junior high school.  His primary 
interests are rag chewing, DX, and weak signal VHF. He is a Life 
Member of QCWA and AMSAT, and holds DXCC, WAS and WPX awards, while 
finishing up the Triple Play Award and pursuing VUCC satellite.

Mr. Kludt is a semi-retired family physician, and currently the 
Medical Director for a clinic serving the working poor and uninsured. 
He had served as a Family Medicine Program Director with the 
University of Wisconsin, Vice President in Information Technology 
with WellPoint Healthcare Networks, and a volunteer board member with 
the Georgia Dressage and Combined Training Association. He currently 
serves as a volunteer and President of the Georgia Healthy Family 
Alliance, a 501c3 corporation that gives mini-grants for community 
health improvement projects in the state of Georgia.

In addition to amateur radio, John enjoys bicycling, reading and time 
with his wife and grown five children.
