It is with sincere sadness that I want to report that Nelson Caley, 
W8EAR, became a silent key yesterday.

Nelson was Sec/Treasurer of Canton OH Chapter 21, and has been an 
officer and "spark plug" in Chapter 21 for a long time.  It was Nelson 
who "sponsored" my QCWA application many years ago.

This past Saturday, Chapter 21 had a celebration for 50 years as a 
chapter, and I presented them with the special 50 year certificate. 
Nelson was very instrumental in getting this together but was unable 
to attend due to his illness.  On Sunday, we were fortunate to visit 
Nelson in hospice, and he was just well enough to ask about the 
celebration.  Monday he became a silent key.
