Why would anyone care? We give the Journal to non members. Good way to get
them interested in joining. Just like giving away QST after you read it.

I normally stay out of these discussions also. But I have a question
concerning Howard's idea 0f putting an active llnk in the Reflector email to
access the Journal. My question is, Could that active link be easily sent
to a non-dues paying recipient, making it easy for him to access the journal
without having to pay dues? Or is that a valid concern? Or perhaps I don't
understand the system.

I normally stay out of these discussion but I have an idea that won't save
money but will
save some time. It would be great if in addition to having the journal
available in the
Member's Only section that an active link to the journal be included in the
email sent to
those subscribed to this reflector to notify us that the journal is ready.
(An active link is
one the someone can click on to open browsers or d/l files). That
would save a lot of time so we don't have to log into the Member's Only
section
and hunt for the journal link entry. We, the chapter secretaries, can
then forward the email to the members of our chapter who have email and/or
print
out a copy as necessary for those who do not (have email) with two clicks of
the mouse button.
Just a thought.
