[QCWA Hotlist] Meeting/Forums to discuss changes taking place in QCWA

By this time I think many of you realize that the QCWA Board of 
Directors made some "tough decisions" at the board meeting in Reno on 
September 24.  You might be wondering what these changes are.

I have prepared a power point presentation outlining the important 
changes that are taking place.  This presentation has been posted on 
the QCWA web site.  Log in to your "Members Page".  Find the place 
where it refers to the "Media", and click on it. There, among other 
items, you will find the power point presentation.

At this point, I have already given this presentation at the Sarasota 
FL Chapter meeting last Wednesday.  It was given at the TenTec hamfest 
last Saturday, but without a projector.

If you are in Florida, there will be several additional opportunities. 
  This coming Thursday, October 11, I will be making this presentation 
at The Villages chapter at 10:30 PM.  The same day, at 1:15 PM, I will 
be at the Orlando FL Chapter meeting.

This coming Saturday, October 13, we will have a forum at the 
Melbourne Hamfest (presently scheduled for 9:00 AM, but check the 
schedule at the hamfest, as it is subject to change).  At Melbourne, 
we will have four directors present -- Jeff Beals, WA4AW; Gerry Gross, 
WA6POZ; Sue Simpson, N8AJU; and myself.  We will be assisted by 
Roberta Cohen, WA2FRW and Mort Cohen, WA2ARS, and possibly others.

The next Saturday, October 20, I will be at the meeting of the Golden 
Triangle Chapter in Leesburg (Eustis) FL at noon.

Other meetings are scheduled at later dates.

If you are in the Florida area, I encourage you to attend one of these 
meetings, whether you are a member of that particular chapter or not. 
  After all, most every chapter I know would be happy to have guests 
attend.
