QCWA Bulletin - 2012-001

Over the week of September 24th to 28th, Chapters 11 and 190 hosted a very
enjoyable QCWA Convention in Reno, NV. There were 86 folks who attended
from as far away as Florida, Pennsylvania and Ottawa, On.

There were tours that took us to the Bill Harrah's Automobile Museum, a
Virginia City bus tour, including a free tour of the Western Historic Radio
Museum, owned and operated by Henry Roger, WA7YBS and Sharon Rogers, KK7EI.
This museum is located in the heart of Virginia City. They have a very
unique collection of old time radios. During the convention week there were
many great presentations that no one wanted to miss, and each were very
well attended.

The QCWA Board of Directors held their annual board meeting on September
24th, prior to the convention activities. The Board deliberated on many
items that will bring about changes for the future well being of QCWA.
Watch for the minutes that will be posted on the "Members' Only" web site
and in the QCWA Journal at a later date.

A well attended QCWA Annual General Meeting of the members was held on the
morning of Wednesday September 26th. After the meeting, members asked many
good questions in regard to QCWA's well being. Watch for the minutes of the
Annual General Meeting of the members that will be posted on the "Members'
Only" web site and in the QCWA Journal at a later date.

73,

Ken Oelke, VE6AFO
QCWA President
