As most of you know, as one of your QCWA National Directors, I try to
attend as many chapter meetings and hamfests as possible.

At this point, it is time to try to schedule fall travel activities.
I hope that everyone knows that the QCWA National Convention is in
Reno NV starting on September 24. Home for us is in Ocala, FL. I
would like to try to attend as many QCWA activities as possible on the
way from FL to NV and back again. We will be traveling in our 19 foot
Roadtrek Motor Home (the size of a very large van), so can go most any
place.

Current plans are to leave FL sometime shortly after Labor Day, and
travel the northern route to Reno. This means thru MS, AR, maybe a
corner of MO, and across KS, although this could be thru OK if there
was a reason. Then we would head to CO, and hope to see some things
in UT that we have not seen before, and then on thru NV to Reno.

On the return trip (leaving Reno about Sept 28 or 29), we would head
for Albuquerque where our son lives. I do not expect too many QCWA
activities between Reno and ABQ, but I hope I am wrong. I don't know
how long we will stay in ABQ, but from there we would head back to FL
via TX, LA, and MS.

The purpose of this e-mail is to find out if there are chapters that
might have a meeting planned along the way, and in the general time
frame that we would be there. I know I can look at the meeting
schedule on the web site, but that is not 100% complete, plus things
change. If your chapter is planning a meeting, and is on the general
path described, please let me know. I would be very happy to attend
your meeting, do a presentation, and answer questions.

Also, if you know of a hamfest along the path listed, and in that time
frame, please let me know. So far I have not found many!

Thanks.

73,

Ken, W8EK
