Yesterday, Saturday, I attended the Chapter 72, Ft. Worth, TX Chapter meeting.  As might be expected, the subject of Associate Members came up and a vote was taken.  Surprisingly, several in attendance thought  Associate Members was a "done deal" but I advised them that the subject had only been presented for discussion only. 
 
Then, several asked what the criteria was for an "Associate Member"?...........I assured them that the Board had not even approached that subject yet but advised them that at this time, the Board was only trying to get a rough count of the potential acceptability of the "concept" of a so-called "Associate Member".
 
The final count was FOR: 6  / AGAINST: 0 /ABSTAIN: 0
 
After the count was taken, one of those in attendance stated that if possible he would really rather see the Associate category occur at the Chapter level but not at the nat' level.
