Hi Bob:
Our chapter voted several years ago to allow non-voting associate members
with less than 25 years since issuance of the 1st license for membership in
the local chapter ONLY! The stipulation at that time was that a non-voting
associate member of the local chapter had to be licensed--no provision for
non-licensed associate members.
Frankly, it was the only way we could keep our chapter going, just as you
are experiencing on the national level.
Another comment was what would be the advantage for the non-voting associate
members, and I replied The QCWA Journal, and supporting the goals of the
national Quarter Century Wireless Association financially. We also made
note that National QCWA 2012 Convention is slated for Reno NV and it was
recommended that our membership should support this convention that is in
the western United States.

Let me be clear, I do not want or need rhetoric, I know both sides of this
discussion, I want numbers.
This will not happen today or tomorrow. At your next chapter meeting or
during your next net, take a vote and report those findings. Next week,
next month or next year is fine.
