[QCWA Hotlist] A change for QCWA?

Roske,
The QCWA Certified Public Accountant is a GENIUS......an Einstein, a seer
and a prophet.
He has seen the oncoming problem(s) of a declining membership and the
ability to properly finance our organization.
Chapter 41 has had an unofficial associate membership for several years in
order to recruit members who, hopefully, will advance on to full membership
when they attain their 25 years.
As the Chapter 41 president for an initial 4 years, followed by 2 as veep
and now, again, president, I have been concerned that the organization had,
within its founder's rules, a "death by attrition clause" and
was told that there was an ongoing hesitance, within the governing "old
timers", to not step away from the 25 year licensing requirement.
Now, it seems that with the loss or retirement of some of the old "hard
nosed and stiff necked leaders of former years" the current leadership seems
to have opened their eyes to reality, has softened their stance
and taken an initial step to encourage younger and new members.
Good thinking and acceptance of reality has finally overcome obstinance.
It's high time to do something to reinvigorate into what I have viewed as a
"slowly dying organization".
Yes, I think there is a future life to QCWA with this new approach.
Here's a cheer for you and the board for opening QCWA to the younger,
licensed less than 25 years, amateur fraternity.
Respectfully submitted,
