We received the following message, it's specifically directed to members
that are US Veterans that live in NJ.

We are lossing WWII veterans every day and their stories are lost forever.

Please contact Rachel if you're a veteran in New Jersey.

For the rest of us US Veterans, goto http://www.loc.gov/vets/ the Veterans
History Project and sign up to be interviewed.

For our members in other nations, I suspect many are pursuing similiar
projects, please support it.

tnx es 73,

Rachel Moseson - NJ_Intern6 at lautenberg.senate.gov

Hello. My name is Rachel Moseson and I am a summer intern at U.S. Senator
Frank Lautenberg's office in Newark. The Senator's office is heading the
Veterans History Project in NJ, and I think it might be of interest to your
amateur radio club. The VHP has recorded over 70,000 veteran stories
nationwide, but only about 1,200 from NJ veterans. We're hoping to increase
that number, and quickly! I am hoping that if your club membership includes
any veterans, they might be interested in participating.

Interviews recorded for the VHP are deposited in the Library of Congress and
will be part of a large-scale database. Here's how the project works:
veterans who are interested in being interviewed about their wartime
experiences (any veteran is welcome to participate, but we are especially
focused on WWII veterans) can either visit www.loc.gov/vets, to find
information and a Field Kit, or call the office at (973) 639-8700 (Newark)
or (865) 338-8922 (Camden). In the Field Kit, veterans will find a packet of
forms including privacy releases that can be filled out before an interview.
The primary method of interviewing is video recording, so we are very
interested in scheduling appointments for veterans to visit the Senator's
office in Newark, but we are also able to record on-site, preferably in a
location where we can interview more than one veteran in a day.

I hope that some of your members might be interested in participating - my
father, Rich Moseson (W2VU) , suggested that I contact you!
