QCWA General Manager Search

The Quarter Century Wireless Association, Inc. Board of Directors is announcing the search for a replacement for Chuck Walbridge, K1IGD, and his wife/assistant, Jan, who will be terminating his current contract with QCWA as General Manager on March 31, 2012. This is an appointed position by the Board of Directors as stated in Article 5 of the QCWA Bylaws. Currently, and in the past, the diverse responsibilities of the General Manager's office have required the need for more than one person. This has been a secretary or a husband and wife team. The team skills must include a good business management background and solid computer and software skills. The selected individual(s) will be required to establish an office, be responsible for the business aspects of QCWA, maintain QCWA membership records and be responsible for the management of QCWA publications. The new General Manager will determine the physical location of the new office. Some travel, associated with QCWA meetings/hamfests will be required. Job training sessions will be held at the current office in Framingham, MA in early 2012. Due to our incorporation status, this position is restricted to US citizens. The selection will be based on proposals submitted by interested parties. 

Anyone interested should obtain a copy of our Request for Proposal (RFP) package from QCWA Secretary Walt Supina, N3WS by sending a self addressed, 9" x 12" envelope with $1.08 postage. The package is also available, as a pdf file using the link below. The RFP contains additional details and requirements for the position with an outline of the content of the proposal for the position. Proposals must be submitted by August 1, 2011 to be considered. The committee will request a personal interview prior to selection.
