[QCWA Hotlist] Orlando HamCation Information (Feb 10-13)

Information about the Orlando HamCation, February 10, 11, 12, 13:

If you have never been to the Orlando HamCation, you need to
think about attending.  It is now the second largest hamfest
in the country, fast approaching the size of Dayton. Come
and see your friends, and also see the old boatanchors and
the latest technology.

QCWA will be having a booth in the commercial section, and
also a forum. The booth is scheduled to be the same place
as in the past several years.  The good news is about the
forum.  If you were at the QCWA forum in HamCation the
last couple years, you know the facilities were not too
great, especially last year when it was cold and windy.
This year the forums will all be inside a regular building,
protected from the weather.  My understanding is that this
location is across the street.  I have been told that you
can "flag down" one of the golf carts that are roaming
around, and they will take you to the forum building.
The QCWA forum is scheduled for 11:15 AM on Saturday.

At this time, it appears that there will be three national
QCWA directors in attendance, providing the snow "up north"
does not prevent their attendance.

If you have not been to HamCation before, it seems you can
find most anything you would want with 100's of vendors --
maybe even approaching 1000.

In addition, Florida is the place to be in February, as
opposed to the "Cold North".  There are plenty of activities
for the family as well, in the central Florida area.
