[QCWA Hotlist] NC, TN, and VA information

Attention chapter officers in the NC, TN, VA and adjacent areas:

Please pass the following information along to your members.
I know that many chapters have a mailing list, and I would
appreciate your e-mailing this information to all of your
members.  The people running these hamfests have consented
to give us space for a display and a forum/meeting.  We want
to make certain that many QCWA members show up, and let the
hamfest sponsors know that it is appreciated.  Of course the
information that your members receive should be helpful also!

If you have any questions, please let me know.



I would like to take this opportunity to appraise you of some
upcoming activities that will take place in Western North
Carolina, and in Virginia.  These include hamfests, forums,
and meetings.  I encourage you to pass this information along
to other QCWA members, if you are in this area, and to come
and attend these events yourself.

The first will be at the Waynesville, NC, hamfest on July
24. Waynesville is close to Asheville and to Smoky Mountain
National Park.  It is a great place to visit, especially this
time of year when one can escape some of the heat by being in
the mountains.  Details about the hamfest are at

We will have a display at the hamfest, and a forum at 11:00 AM.

On July 31, we will be at the Roanoke (Vinton) VA hamfest.

Roanoke Chapter 202 will have a meeting at 11:00 AM at the
hamfest.  There will be a hamfest display in addition to the
meeting. You are encouraged to join us.

On August 1, we will have a display at the Berryville VA hamfest.

If you are in the northern Virginia area, please join us and
sign in.  No forum at this hamfest, as they do not have forums.

On Wednesday, August 4, I will be at the Hendersonville NC, Chapter
76 meeting.  It will be held at Golden Corral, 2530 Chimney Rock Road
in Hendersonville at 11:30 AM.  I will have QCWA updates from the
May Board meeting, other QCWA info, and will be showing pictures
from our trip to Alaska last year.  Please join us.

I hope to see many members at one or more of these events.
