Bob....I received this from my brother Bob, K5RPS, in the Houston Area. He
is a collector of Packard autos and sent me the following message:
Basically Dave Mocabee K7jpm is looking for help in working on the ham shack
at the former Packard Proving Grounds near Detroit. Would you please post
on the QCWA mailer. 73 Walt Supina N3WS

Yesterday I got this msg from Dave Mocabee.
Dave is the son-in-law of Charles Vincent, who was the HAM who just
happened to be the Manager of the Packard Proving Ground....the FIRST
auto test track in the US.
Last July we visited the Proving Ground and toured the lodge where
Charles lived.
the Proving Ground Lodge and several acres are now a National Historical
Site.

below is the message from Dave Mocabee

Excuse me ... but I have forgotten your name? I believe you are the HAM
that contacted me a few months ago about the PPG ham shack. I have the
Charles H. Vincent scrapbook and trying to get some displays for the ham
shack, Unfortunately my health has kept me from getting at this job. I
have all the ideas on how the display should appear but not the strength to
get at the job. I am going to write some directions on how I see the
displays in the ham shack and put in the CHV scrapbook. Since you are the
only HAM I know who likes Packards, I was hoping you might carry on with the
job in case I soon depart? There is an open house at the PPG in October and
we were hoping to go but now I'm not so sure.

Regards, (73) Dave Mocabee k7jpm
