Good Afternoon,

QCWA has a program in place to provide portions of the quarterly Journal to
our paid up visually impaired members.

Vic Culver, W4VIC, our Taping Coordinator receives a copy of the Journal,
marks the articles and reports which be included and forwards it to Bob
Zeida, N1BFL.

Bob records as many articles as he can fit into an mp3 file (about an hours
worth, 60+ meg) and forwards it to Pat Tice, WA0TDA, Manager, Courage
Handiham System in Minnesota. Bob records for several publications and has
a very nice relaxed style that's very easy to listen to.

Pat gets it to our members.

A Great Big Thank You to Chapters 8, 10, 21, 25, 41, 65 and 149 for
submitting quarterly Journal reports.

Unfortunately we have an additional ten (10) chapters that have visually
impaired members that did not submit a report for their members(s) to hear.

As a chapter secretary, I know that on occasion there may be nothing to
report because of the timing or frequency of chapter actives and meetings.
In those cases I suggest reporting on upcoming chapter activities so all
there is something for all our visually impaired members to hear.

If you're not sure if you chapter is one of the 10, please ask me.

If you have a visually impaired member that isn't being notified, let me
know, I'll get you member and chapter included.

If the quarterly journal report, isn't your responsibility, please forward
this to whomever has that responsibility.

tnx es 73,
Bob Roske, N0UF
President, QCWA
Chapter 8 Secretary
