This is from the ARRL Public Information reflector and bodes well for the future of Ham Radio.

This may be a little farther into the future than most of us can see, but all need to do is each sponsor a new member every couple of years and QCWA will still be here to reap the benefit of this influx!

At our management meeting this morning I learned that (matching end of year figures) 

There was approximately a 1.2% growth in hams in the USA

And there are 28,066 new US hams in 2008.

 

To those people and groups who were active in promotions, classes, exams and teaching - ya dun gud!
