Hi Jeff, Steve, and others,
I may be able to help a bit on the Knoxville Chapter, at least with
old info.
I spoke to the Knoxville Chapter back 6 or 7 years ago. I think it
was while we were Executive Administrator of QCWA. More correctly, I
spoke at the Oak Ridge Amateur Radio Club, which included just about
everyone from QCWA Chapter 60.
At that point, the "spark plug" for Chapter 60 was Hugh Morgan, W4VAB.
I think he is now a silent key, so that likely is why the chapter is
no longer active.
In the same time frame, Sue and I twice "flew the banner" at the
Knoxville Hamfest. Hugh was with us at both hamfests.
Sorry, but my memory is not good enough to remember any other calls or
names of chapter 60 members.
Bottom line is that you are likely on your own to get things moving
again, Jeff.
To Steve --
You are welcome to join us in Ocala for our Chapter 62 meetings.
Hopefully we will have a real, honest to goodness, in person meeting
on Feb 25, 2021 at 12:30 PM at China Lee Buffet on Silver Springs Blvd
in Ocala. We also have a net on 3940 KHz at 9 AM every Saturday
morning. Please join us.
Thanks.
73,
Ken, W8EK
