Ron,
I think back in those years, the ARRL Handbook all had problems with
the binding getting frayed.
I bought a new ARRL Handbook in 1959, and it is somewhat frayed. And
I might add, I take good care of my reading material. But with my
young enthusiasm in learning everything radio and electronics, it was
well read, hence getting a little tattered around the edges!!
