Greetings QCWA Family Members. This Saturday -- Sunday QCWA will hold
it's Annual QCWA QSO PARTY. This is a fun and friendly chance to
agitate some electrons and surprise fellow QCWA Family members (or
anyone choosing to participate in this event) with your own personal
greetings in an International QCWA Event!
Full details are provided at <http://www.qcwa.org/qso-party.htm>. Read
the entire RULES page to get the full operating plan. Jump in on, or
near, the suggested frequencies and either respond to those calling "CQ
QCWA" or begin calling "CQ QCWA" yourself. Please note that two logging
programs are suggested for computer logging and you can choose whichever
of those programs you feel comfortable with; or you can print out the
Log Sheet and do some good old fashioned PAPER LOGGING! Remember that?
Fill in all the blanks on the sheet as described in the Rules.
I've already loaded up N1MM+ and tested it out with some dummy contacts.
It works like a dream (if you're familiar with it) and does ALL the
work for you, keeping score and letting you print out a Cabrillo File to
send to Bob BUUS, W2OD. You may submit your log in whatever form you
choose, Cabrillo, or an old reliable Paper Log.
It's easy, it's fun, and it's a perfect way to exercise your Amateur
Radio heritage in support of QCWA. Do a little, or do a lot, but
please, DO SOMETHING.
President Oelke and I will be looking for YOU. Please look for us.
47 & 73, Vic, W4VIC, QCWA Chapter 119
