Northeast PA, 1961, National NC-105, Johnson Challenger, and a very rough 40
meter dipole. One end kinda had a hook in it at the tree... hi hi.
Fortunately, my Elmer/Mentor/Friend W3BFF ground crystals as part of his
hobby so I had a pretty good supply.
