QCWA Members and Friends of QCWA. Tidewater Virginia Chapter 119 will
hold our September meeting on Friday, September 18, 2015 at our regular
meeting place, Frankie's Place for Ribs, 5200 Fairfield Shopping Center,
Beautiful Downtown Virginia Beach (Kempsville), VA at 12:00 noon. We
cordially invite any and all traveling/vacationing QCWA members and
their friends to join our regular members and friends for a wonderful
lunch and a stimulating meeting program.

Our Vice-President, Ed Martin, W8NLZ, will present a program on GRAVITY
WAVES. Now, if you haven't been paying attention, this is a very
interesting and very exciting topic, one that is sure to give you some
new concepts about which to think! If you think wavelength for 20M,
some 60 feet for each wavelength, then think wavelength for gravity
waves, said to be of intergalactic dimension! Gravitational waves are
expected to have
frequencies in the range of 10^{-16}\, \mathrm{Hz}<f<10^4\, \mathrm{Hz},
according to Thorne, Kip S (1995) Gravitational Waves. Cornell
University Press. That's a mighty big antenna if you want to work
WAS/DXCC on gravity waves. You can see the immediate problem with
gravity waves and this program may stimulate other thinking about
gravity waves and who-knows-what other cosmic concepts. No, this is not
too heavy a cognitive load for our group, our Vice-President Ed, has a
remarkable ability to make all kinds of things make sense.

Please do come and enjoy our own Chapter 119 brand of fellowship.
Spouses are always welcome at QCWA meetings, and I encourage you to
bring along a good friend also. If your best friend is also your spouse
-- good for you! Try to find someone else to bring along to the
meeting. If you want to have a friend then BE a friend and turn someone
on to the magic of QCWA Chapter 119.

OK, then. I hope to see you on Friday at noon. Vic, W4VIC, Secretary,
QCWA Chapter 119 Inc.
