Hi Jeff,

Home renovations and other property improvements have kept me pretty
much off the bands since last September. A major project was
converting a screened porch into my new ham shack... this was a vertical
learning curve for me but it's done now and I finally moved in January.
Tearing off and disposing of the old siding, putting up sheathing,
wrap, and new siding on the house was another time consuming work and
that project finished this May.

My 80M doublet was destroyed in a 53 mph gust we had. When I checked
the antenna after the blow I found the window-line draped around my
vertical... not good... it had torn off the antenna's feed point. I
was wanting to make my own open wire ladderline for many years and
seeing the broken window line draped around my vertical was the
motivation I needed and it was fun to make. Have redesigned my website
a bunch also this past winter-spring.

Now to get back on the air.

It is interesting hearing what others have been doing.

Good luck on your projects...
73,
