I take this opportunity to honor, recognize, and wish a very Happy 89th Birthday today to Ray Bilger, W3TDF.

Affectionately known as, "The Grump," Ray is Past President and modern patriarch of the Allentown-Bethlehem Pennsylvania, QCWA Chapter 17, a legendary contester, prolific 6m op, and lately, even 2m EME aficionado!

Ray still singlehandedly erects and climbs 40' towers for FD, and will likely demonstrate this again on Saturday at Louise Moore Park for the effort of the Delaware-Lehigh Amateur Radio Club.
