[QCWA] Membership concerns...

Very well said, Jeff.
We shouldn't be considering ourselves "elite" and "above others"! We're
proud of our achievements and we should be encouraging every other ham
licensee and any other hams-to-be. Show them all that having been licensed
for 25++ years has been fun, rewarding and achievable to anyone. Isn't THAT
what QCWA stood for? Doesn't QCWA still stand for this? Isn't THAT what we
joined to be & do?
So what that I have been continuously licensed since 1956............so what
that I passed the 20 WPM code test for my EXTRA! So what? So just because
I was good at CW and reached 40+ WPM in military service that it makes me
any different than those who have not learned Morse??? NOT AT ALL!
Look folks, QCWA stands for pridefully showing that we've been at this
'game' for over 25 years and loving every year of it! Let's show the rest
of the folks with licenses that it's been fun enough to last a lifetime!
We, each of us, can pick and choose what we like within ham radio and
pridefully show each other what fun it's been. I love the camaraderie of
comparing MY experiences with that of others and we all should take this
hobby the same way. There is no reason for me to look down upon any who
have not desired to pick-up Morse simply because they simply don't desire to
do so and it doesn't make them any less of a ham radio licensee!! Equally
so, it is not becoming of me or anyone else to look down upon those who have
not yet reached their 25 year milestone!!

In good spirit,

73,
Marv K2VHW
