I checked during the contest, and could not hear the west coast during that
timeframe.

Busy doing the contest, worked lots of KL7's on 10, 15, 20 and nice JA runs
near the end of contest.

The contest makes it difficult, but I just worked K6H, the "Last Man
Standing" Special Event Station on 15m SSB with modest wire antennas and
100w.

There is no waiting. They are on 21.352.6 right now.
