[QCWA] The last bastion gone...

I begin by saying that I've never met a friendlier group than the QCWA
members I've been in contact with and I wish the BOD every possible
success in their reorganized roles. The Founder's and the Hudson Valley
chapters are holding on with weekly 75M nets and a very great yearly
luncheon-meeting. Just a short muse on one consequence of digital
publications:
It was an article on microcomputers in a Ham Radio magazine that launched
me on a rewarding and eminently enjoyable 35 year career in Information
Technology. For much of that time, I sat content before a screen and
keyboard as both a hobbyist and professional. But always, there was that
very special place...
There, no invasive technology could interrupt me. There, I communed with
nature and PRINTED literature in blissful solitude. For the near-term,
I'm holding off on purchasing a tablet computer in my (arguably futile)
effort to keep my special reading room technology-free.
Poetically put:
My desktop is too big to use,
In my favorite place to peruse.
So now I must flush,
And dethrone in a rush,
To catch up on latest club news.
The Journal will be an enjoyable read - wherever we read it! 73 all.
