I agree that PayPal is easy as are other on-line
bill payment methods are easy but, (that's a big
but) they are very expensive for the vendor. As
the Commercial Chairman of the Orlando
HamCation®, I can relate to the costs of getting
payments via electronic means. A survey of our
vendors asked would you support paying the costs
of electronic payment the reply was a resounding NO!
In this era of rapidly rising costs, I'm sure the
QCWA doesn't want to increase dues to cover these
charges and the impact of losing members. The
cost of a stamp is still lower, although probably not much longer.
As others I pay about 95% of my bills on-line,
but only those who don't use a third party that
charges a surcharge on the payment.
