ARRL offered such a set of QST-on-CD that went all the way back to their
beginning (1914). It has unfortunately been discontinued, but I
purchased the full collection, and I have also bought the yearly
QST/QEX/NCJ CD's that they sell. I give away my paper QST copies at our
local VE Test sessions to new hams.
If the entire QCWA Journal Collection were to be made available on
CD/DVD, I would surely be interested in purchasing it also. I wonder if
all the prior Journals are available? But it takes money to initiate a
project like that too, and I wonder if that is possible at this time?
The yearly (June) Membership Roster has been digital for quite awhile,
but how long? Or could early years be digitized also and made available
on CD for purchase as a set? Seriously, I would buy something like that,
if it reached back pretty far, or to the beginning. I think that would
be a cool bit of history to have in my collection.
Some folks collect old boat anchor radios, some collect paper. They're
all too heavy for me. Almost a hundred years of QST fits nicely on a
single CD shelf, all easily carried in a bag in one hand if I have to
move it! The QCWA Journal would be much smaller than that.
