Greetings all,

As you know, I write the QCWA column in WorldRadio online magazine. I am
currently working up an idea for an upcoming article/column.

Many of us in QCWA have experienced the time period of the 50's & 60's when
there was an abundance of WWII surplus available to radio amateurs at give-away
prices. Several ham stations of that era were built around the quality surplus
rigs of the time.

I would like to hear from you about your experiences with war surplus gear.
What did you find useful? What was your favourite receiver, transmitter,
transceiver, etc.? How did they work for you? And, what did you accomplish
with them?

Many used such as a basis for their station, perhaps adding modifications to
them for use on the ham bands. Tell us about that, please. Comments from all
countries are welcome!

You can send this valuable information to me, via ve3jx at bell.net or
ve3jx at sympatico.ca .

I thank you in advance for your contributions. If you have any questions, feel
free to contact me with them.

Yours in promoting QCWA,

Dave Hayes VE3JX.
