[QCWA] tnx es 73 from the Pres

Your and the other Director's jobs are difficult at best. Particularly
amongst such a diverse group, but I guess that is what you all get the big
bucks for ;>)

I'm sure you all will do what is considered in the best interests of the
organization. There will always be someone critical of something. Very
untypical that all will be happy.

The focus of the organization is 25 years but let us be very careful not to
be elitist and end up chewing our own foot off.

I have not read the member eligibility 'rules' lately, but I have a new ham
friend who only has had a ham license for a couple of years, BUT he has and
used his commercial First Class Radio license aboard ship for probably close
to 30 years. Copies code like it was his first language. Would he be
eligible as a member?

You and the Directors have my support and belief that you will do what is
right!

Now, change of topic. I've been gathering data (stories, photos, license
lists, etc) on the old but gone US license catagories such as KX6, KZ5, KG6,
KR6, KAx etc. My intent to write an article about these old call
assignments. If anyone out there can help steer me to anyone who held any of
these now exotic but extinct calls please let me know. Particularly
interesting in cross-referencing old calls to new calls (e.g., KR6JB was
W7BCT (now a SK))

QCWA is the "Cream of the Crop" We have many passionate members that
disagree on what is best for the organization. I wouldn't expect it to be
otherwise.

We all must guard against letting those passions become our undoing.

The Board of Directors is working through some very critical issues and
believe me, between us we are just as passionate and have as many diverse
ideas as have been presented here.

If you're so inclined, say a little prayer, otherwise 73 will do just fine!

Tnx for you ideas, your passions and your support of QCWA.

Without all of them, all of you, QCWA would not exist.

73,
Bob Roske, NØUF
President QCWA
