Hi Dave....... I enjoyed your article. QCWA has been active
on QsoNet/CQ-100 for about two years now, for the reasons you
and Val discuss in your e-mail. The Chapter relations committee
approved the addition of CQ-100 to the QCWA Qso Parties two
years ago and several certificates have been issued to
participants. The Fred Hammond Chapter in Toronto (CH73)had
been holding weekly meetings on QsoNet for a year and this
has developed into a weekly QCWA net on QsoNet Frequency
14.347 (same frequency as the HF ssb net)at 11am EST on
Fridays. My logs for the last three weeks show representation
from 11 Chapters, several members at large, and 7 foreign
countries.
QsoNet supports CW and digital modes, and I have weekly
contacts on cw. While I am still very active on HF (64 yrs)
I have great phone and cw chats with amateurs all over the
world-many who do not have antennae or rigs.
Thanks for taking the time to develop the article in WorldRadio.
I hope it brings our members to try this method of contacting
each other and further enjoying amateur radio.
